Sightlines

Sightlines (1998), at Whistler village, is composed of twenty sculptures affixed to railing posts. The project is very interactive as many of the sculptures feature functional viewing devices, including a functional kaleidescope, magnifying glass, sextant, telescope etc. Each elliptical sculpture base is set into a spinnable bearing unit and is integrated into the overall railing concept, also designed by the artists.
